Dixie Attendance Center is one of six schools that are a part of the Forrest County School District. Established in 1921, the Dixie campus includes eight buildings, with five classroom wings, a gymnasium, field house, football field, and a walking track. Just across the road is a charmingly rustic, brown log cabin that was removed from the campus in 2002 to make way for a new cafeteria and classroom wing. Today, 520 students in grades K-8 attend school at Dixie. With increasing test scores, the school strives to meet the standard requirements of High Performing.
